This Lung Support Herbal Tea soothes the throat, sinuses and supports overall respiratory health. Delicious and nourishing, and can be enjoyed yearlong.
Featuring:
- Softening powers of Mullein and Marshmallow root.
- Fierce and airway-opening tree medicine of Wild Cherry Bark.
- Nervous system hug and grief-tender of beloved Linden.
- Aromatic, uplifting, expectorant and soothing notes of Thyme and Orange Peel.
This herbal formulation can support relief from many respiratory symptoms such as and not limited to: throat itchiness, dry sinus pathways, cold and flu symptoms, coughing, grief, ear infections, asthma or other diagnosed respiratory challenges, constricted breathing, and respiratory issues related to smoky airs.
It is delicious on its' own, but I love to add honey for more immunity care and soothing.
Ingredients: mullein, marshmallow root, wild cherry bark, linden leaf + flower, thyme, orange peel.
Steeping instructions:
1 tablespoon of herbs per 1 cup of boiling hot water. Steep for 10 - 20 minutes for a shorter steep. Steep for 1 hour - 8 hours (overnight) for a powerful herbal infusion. Add honey if desired.
I created this blend in late August of 2020 for my community in response to the wildfires in California as a way to cope with the smoke and stress of fire season. This tea can be used for a myriad of respiratory conditions and symptoms as listed above.
May our lungs and breathing be at ease.
